Nurturing the roots of nritya and expressing the soul of tradition.

Walking the path rooted in tradition

The two pillars of my Bharatanatyam learning journey. Bharatanatyam, for me, is more than a dance form, it is a sacred journey of self-discovery. Every adavu, every mudra, and every expression I perform carries the weight of the generations before me and the spirit of divine storytelling. My path in Nrithya has been one of deep reflection, constant learning, and reverent practice.

Devotion

Approaching Bharatanatyam as a sacred offering, where each movement, expression, and stillness is a form of prayer. Devotion (Bhakti) is the heart of my journey letting the soul guide the steps, and storytelling becomes a channel for spiritual connection. My dance is an emotional bridge between the self and the divine, deeply inspired by Lord Krishna and classical mythology.

Discipline

Bharatanatyam requires structure, patience, and rigor. Sharu’s learning is grounded in a deep respect for tradition methodical practice of adavus, clarity of movement, and sustained focus. Discipline is what refines her art ensuring that each mudra and posture reflects the purity of form while honoring the lineage of her gurus.

About Me

Through every mudra, I speak; through every step, I pray. Bharatanatyam is not just my art, it’s my voice, my devotion, and my way of being.” – Sharunitha Ranjith.

I am Sharu, a passionate Bharatanatyam dancer devoted to preserving and sharing the depth of this sacred classical art form. My journey with dance began as a child enchanted by rhythm and expression, and over the years, it has become my language of devotion, discipline, and storytelling.

Rooted in tradition and inspired by the divine grace of Lord Krishna, my dance reflects both technical rigor and emotional depth. Through NrityaBySharu, I aim to preserve and reflect the rhythm of my inspirations through movement, devotion, and the expressive language of Bharatanatyam.

With love, grace, and timeless tradition, I invite you to experience the transformative power of nritya.
